Tom Baroody was a visionary leader whose steadfast commitment shaped K-Tech into the innovative technology company it is today.
Throughout his career, Tom worked tirelessly to advance K-Tech’s mission of developing and deploying cutting-edge separation technologies—including Continuous Ion Exchange, Continuous Ion Chromatography, and Impregnated Substrate processes—to improve the recovery and purification of strategic minerals, industrial materials, and other high-value resources. His passion for innovation helped establish K-Tech as a trusted partner in industries that rely on improved efficiency, sustainability, and technological leadership.
Beyond his professional achievements, Tom was a respected and active member of the community. He was recently honored with the Kiwanis Club’s highest service award, recognizing his long-standing dedication to helping others. Tom’s integrity, generosity, and leadership will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him.As we mourn this profound loss, we also reaffirm our commitment to carrying forward the legacy Tom built. Theodore P. (Tip) Fowler has assumed Tom’s responsibilities as CEO, continuing to support our talented staff—many of whom have been with K-Tech for decades—and ensuring operational continuity across all ongoing and future initiatives.
